Deployment and Machine Licensing

Stardraw Control 2007 allows you to generate executables from any project you have created. You can run these executables on your development machine (i.e. the one on which Stardraw Control 2007 has been installed) as long as the USB dongle that contains your Stardraw Control 2007 license is plugged in. This is ideal for testing and fine-tuning your project.

When your project is ready to be deployed and tested as part of the actual system, follow this deployment procedure:

1. In Stardraw Control 2007 create your executable (press the Compile Executable button, or press Shift+F5)
2. On the target machine install Stardraw Control Machine Licensing
3. Copy the generated executable to the target machine

Having followed the procedure above, any generated executable will operate without restriction for 30 days from first installation of Stardraw Control Machine Licensing. This allows you to fully test your control system.

Final Deployment

To hand over a fully functioning system that will run without restriction, you simply need to purchase a Machine License. This allows any generated executable to run without restriction on the target machine: this includes any new executables, for example, if you have made minor changes to your project, or even wholly new and unrelated executables. To purchase your Machine License, follow this procedure:

1. On the target machine run Stardraw Control Machine Licensing (in Windows select Start | All Programs | Stardraw | Stardraw Control Machine Licensing
2. Click on Purchase a License - you will see an online ordering page
3. Having made payment you will see an Unlock Code - make a note of, or copy, this Unlock Code. The code will also be emailed to you.
4. In Stardraw Control Machine Licensing, click on Enter an Unlock Code.
5. Enter (or paste) the Unlock Code

The target machine will now run any generated executable without restriction.
