Stardraw.com reinstates Stardraw Lighting 2D

In response to public demand, Stardraw.com has reinstated its lighting-specific design and documentation package, Stardraw Lighting 2D. The software had been officially discontinued in January 2005 although full support, maintenance and updates were scheduled to continue until next year. Stardraw.com's announcement this month comes after clear indication in the marketplace that the application, touted as "the fastest and easiest way to create lighting plots in 2D", still finds favor with lighting designers internationally.

"We were frankly rather surprised at the strength of support for the package, not just from current users, but also from those who had not yet implemented a Stardraw solution" stated Stardraw.com marketing director, Rob Robinson. "However, enough people told us that Stardraw Lighting 2D was too good to discontinue that it became clear we should reinstate it. Interestingly, the most vocal support comes from people who have been impressed with the functionality and ease of use of our demo software; at just $500 (£300 sterling, €450) they feel it represents the most cost-effective lighting design and documentation package on the market."

The key difference in the re-instated product is that it will be available exclusively as a download from www.stardraw.com. It incorporates all the updates, such as an enhanced text engine, that have recently been added to Stardraw.com's family of design applications, and will continue to be enhanced on an ongoing basis with periodic feature updates for the foreseeable future.
