2002 in
Review
2002 was a year of unprecedented activity and growth
for Stardraw.com. As the year closes out we'd like
to wish all our customers and other friends the very
best for a profitable 2003, and offer a brief recap on
some of the important developments at Stardraw.com over
the last 12 months.
The Launch of Web-Enabled
Applications
Early in 2002 we helped RCI Custom deliver the first
ever online panel design application.
PanelBuilder is based on Stardraw.net technology and
lets you hit a web page, design a custom panel, get an
instant quote, and order the panel online. This
was a hugely significant step as we believe Stardraw.net
is the first online CAD application. Since that
first product, other Stardraw.net applications are in
the pipeline or have already launched, notably
Stardraw.net from ProSoundWeb and of course our own
www.stardraw.net.
Major Enhancements through Feature
per Month Program
Stardraw applications have evolved month on month by
virtue of the unique Feature per Month program. In
addition to many tools added in response to user
requests (keep them coming to
ideas@stardraw.com)
some very significant new technology has been
introduced, notably through
LiveUpdate, the automated program
synchronization utility,
Rubber-Banding, which keeps schematics connected
as you move symbols, and the most recent addition to the
Stardraw stable - the
Symbol Wizard. Remember to keep your
Stardraw subscription current to get these and future
additions to the program.
The Launch of Stardraw Radio
Stardraw Radio, the design and documentation tool for
the audio broadcast industry was launched at NAB 2002
and, three days after its first appearance, won the
prestigious 'Cool Stuff' award from Radio World
magazine. We were delighted and honored to achieve
such instant recognition in what had been, up to then, a
new territory for us.
Affiliate and Partnership Programs
In 2002 we invited others to join in Stardraw's
success while enjoying a share of revenues. The
Stardraw Affiliate program is still open to new
participants and the recent availability of our online
applications has created new opportunities through the
Stardraw.net programs - why not take a look and see
how offering Stardraw.net through your website
can make you money.
What Now?
Over the coming year you can expect our continued
commitment to provide the best in software technology
across the range of Stardraw applications. More
features, more symbols, more utility, more power to you.
Expect also growth in internet-enabled applications -
Stardraw is on the leading edge of this wave which has
been the promise of major software vendors for some
time, but which many have failed to deliver.
Stardraw.net shows what can be done, and we plan to
bring you many more applications that take full
advantage of the power of the Internet.

Feature per Month program
This month's new feature is Symbol Wizard
: the wizard makes it amazingly easy to create new block
schematic symbols in Stardraw Audio, Stardraw AV and
Stardraw Radio that conform to Stardraw's symbol
standards. Its advanced logic and simple
interface mean that the Symbol Wizard will be a major
time-saving utility.
You can get this important new feature at no cost if you have a
current subscription for your Stardraw product. Follow a link
to download this feature using Stardraw LiveUpdate.
Important Note: the Feature per Month program is
available only to current subscribers of Stardraw Audio, Stardraw AV,
Stardraw Lighting 2D and Stardraw Radio, and is delivered using LiveUpdate.
