Stardraw Control Nominated for Third Major Award
Stardraw.com's newest application, Stardraw Control, which was formally launched at the
recent NSCA show, has been selected as a finalist in the Best Software Product for the
Commercial Market category of the InfoComm Installation Product Awards. Stardraw Control
has already been honored with a PLASA Award for Innovation at its preview at London's PLASA
show in September 04 and an Innovation in Technology Award at NSCA.
Stardraw's marketing director, Rob Robinson, explained the key features of Stardraw Control
that set it apart from other control solutions. "Stardraw Control generates standalone,
customized control programs that can manage any type of addressable equipment from any
manufacturer using any protocol over any communications infrastructure. Instead of being
locked into closed architectures wherever system control, monitoring or signal routing has
been required, Stardraw Control offers systems integrators an open, software-based, unified
control framework that can manage his entire system with a single application, regardless of
system complexity. To our knowledge, no-one else offers such an innovative and flexible system,
so to be selected as a finalist for the InfoComm awards so soon after winning at NSCA is
tremendous."
Like other Stardraw applications it is fast, powerful, flexible and easy to use; with a
drag-drop interface and intuitive design environment, installers are able to configure systems
and control them without having to write a single line of code. Utilization of Microsoft.net
technology means that control programs are portable and can run on any Windows-enabled device,
from PC to PDA. Importantly, Stardraw Control can communicate with
and control any device using any protocol. Since support of particular protocols can offer access to thousands of products,
Stardraw Control is almost infinitely flexible and scaleable. Protocols
currently supported include TCP/IP, RS232, DMX, IR, EtherSound, CobraNET, infra-red, UDP, SNMP and QSC
Net.
Seminars at InfoComm - Stardraw Control
Stardraw.com CEO David Snipp will present two seminars at InfoComm offering an in-depth look at
the multi-award winning application Stardraw Control. A software engineer by trade, David Snipp
has ridden the leading edge of the software technology wave for more than two decades, with
positions at IT giants such as IBM and Microsoft (where as a Chief Architect he headed up the
team that developed printing for Windows) and, most recently, as founder and CEO of Stardraw.com.
David's natural enthusiasm, combined with his ability to convey technical concepts without
blinding the listener with science, means that his seminars are always entertaining as well as
instructive. Whatever your level of technical expertise, this seminar will give a good grounding
in the theory and use of Stardraw Control and includes a Q&A session. A must-see for systems contractors/installers, consultants
and manufacturers alike, each seminar is limited to 40 attendees, so register today.

Stardraw.com Appoints Benum AS as Norwegian Reseller
Software providers Stardraw.com are pleased to announce the appointment of leading
Norwegian distribution specialists, Benum AS, as resellers throughout Norway for the
entire range of Stardraw's design and documentation packages.
With nearly thirty-five years experience in distribution, Benum represents over
sixty premium brands in the audio, video, broadcast and MI market sectors including
Renkus-Heinz, Digigram, NetCira by Fostex, Digidesign, Shure and Telex to name but a few.
Benum sales manager, Ronald Hernes, is pleased to include Stardraw products in the Benum
portfolio. "We already count a number of other software tools among our product range, and
therefore have experience in the market. We also carry a number of complementary ranges
with whom Stardraw has already forged a relationship including Digigram and NetCira by Fostex,
so the addition of Stardraw to our distribution operation makes perfect sense."
Stardraw marketing director Rob Robinson agrees. "Benum are already distributors for
a number of manufacturers whose products complement out own perfectly, and have demonstrated
competence in Stardraw's target marketplace. The addition of Stardraw to their portfolio
thus adds value both for them and for us, and blends extremely harmoniously with the brands
they currently represent."
Stardraw Control - Add Support for Your Products
In preparation for its final release, we are adding support to Stardraw Control
for any appropriate devices by any manufacturers who are interested in becoming part of
this exciting new project. During the Beta test period Stardraw.com will undertake all work
required to add support for products at no cost to the manufacturer.
Stardraw Control has been engineered to support any device using any protocol - if
your products are remotely controllable or remotely monitored, Stardraw Control can be
used to control and monitor them. Support for a product is implemented by the creation of a
driver for that product; you do not need to change or add any hardware or software for your existing
products, and there is no cost to you.
Join the rapidly growing number of manufacturers that have indicated their support for Stardraw Control,
a number that includes Audace, Audient, Aurora Multimedia, Aviom, Bosch, CobraNet (Cirrus Logic),
Digigram, Dynalite, iMerge, QSC, Rane, Toshiba,
Yamaha, ZWave and more. Click on the link to learn more.
