Middle Atlantic Products
rolls out RackTools 3.0
Middle Atlantic Products, Inc., New Jersey-based manufacturers of engineered mounting solutions for
the systems contracting industry, is to roll out RackTools 3.0, the newest version of their advanced rack
specification and layout software, at InfoComm 2005.
RackTools 3.0 is based on a Stardraw engine and allows you to configure rack enclosures with all
required accessories graphically, store and print out your drawings, and generate purchase orders based
upon your individual user profile. It has been designed to exploit internet connectivity and can also
function as a stand-alone application, thus offering users the best of both worlds; when online, RackTools
3.0 automatically installs application and data updates, including pricing, transparently. This means that
you are always working with the latest and most complete version of the application and product information.
Furthermore, each product has links to online information, so you are only one mouse-click away from full
technical specifications for any Middle Atlantic product. When working offline, all data from the previous
online session is cached locally, so you can still design racks, and generate and print purchase orders
with the most recent pricing information.
According to Stardraw.com CEO David Snipp, the criteria for the new application were very clear. "Middle
Atlantic Products asked us for a solution that would be accessible and functional 24/7, whether the user
was on- or off-line, with seamless delivery of updates" he explained. "Secondly, it had to support all
manner of custom rackshelves, allowing customers to create their own designs quickly and easily, and
build their own libraries where necessary. Thirdly, it had to be AutoCAD-compatible with the ability to
read and write DWG files. We were able to achieve all of this for RackTools 3.0 using a Stardraw engine,
which offered very significant advantages over the previous version of RackTools."
Middle Atlantic Products' Marketing Communications Manager, Michael Cukrow, is looking forward to the
roll-out. "Stardraw.com has provided us with a solution that can accommodate all of our requirements.
RackTools 3.0 is based on a simple drag-and-drop principle with full access to a library of our entire
product database, with the option to create your own custom rack shelves using a specially designed wizard.
It really is a one-stop solution and should immensely simplify the ordering process both for us and our
customers.“
RackTools 3.0 will be available at Middle Atlantic Products InfoComm booth #1558 on CD and as a free
download at www.racktools.com (available after June 8, 2005)
Seminars at InfoComm - Stardraw Control
Stardraw.com CEO David Snipp will present two seminars at InfoComm offering an in-depth look at
the multi-award winning application Stardraw Control. A software engineer by trade, David Snipp
has ridden the leading edge of the software technology wave for more than two decades, with
positions at IT giants such as IBM and Microsoft (where as a Chief Architect he headed up the
team that developed printing for Windows) and, most recently, as founder and CEO of Stardraw.com.
David's natural enthusiasm, combined with his ability to convey technical concepts without
blinding the listener with science, means that his seminars are always entertaining as well as
instructive. Whatever your level of technical expertise, this seminar will give a good grounding
in the theory and use of Stardraw Control and includes a Q&A session. A must-see for systems contractors/installers, consultants
and manufacturers alike, each seminar is limited to 40 attendees, so register today.

Stardraw Control
We are
delighted to welcome
Aurora Multimedia,
Rane and
Vity to the
ever-expanding family of manufacturers whose products are supported
within Stardraw Control. To ensure the easiest transition into full
support within the Stardraw Control platform, Stardraw.com undertakes all work
required to add support for products at no cost.
Stardraw Control has been engineered to support any device using any protocol - if
your products are remotely controllable or remotely monitored, Stardraw Control can be
used to control and monitor them. Support for a product is implemented by the creation of a
driver for that product; you do not need to change or add any hardware or software for your existing
products, and there is no cost to you.
If you manufacture controllable products, there should be nothing
preventing you from joining the rapidly growing number of manufacturers supported
in Stardraw Control,
a number that includes Audace, Audient, Aurora Multimedia, Aviom, Bosch, CobraNet (Cirrus Logic),
Digigram, Dynalite, iMerge, QSC, Rane, Toshiba,
Vity, Yamaha, ZWave and more. Click on the link to learn more.
