Stardraw Finalist in PLASA Awards
We are delighted that the latest version of our system control application,
Stardraw Control 2007, has been confirmed as a finalist in the PLASA 07 Awards
for Innovation.
Designed to reflect excellence in new products in lighting, sound, engineering,
AV and staging - the PLASA Awards for Innovation were first established in 1992 and
have since been presented annually during the PLASA Show, which this year runs from
9-12 September at Earls Court in London. The Awards have a justly deserved reputation
for identifying high quality, innovative new products early in their life and many
previous winners are now firmly established in their fields.
The shortlist of finalists is judged by a panel of highly respected industry professionals
and winners will be announced on Monday 10 September at 6pm at the Central Bar area of the
PLASA Show.
You can see Stardraw Control 2007 as well as our other control, design and documentation
applications on the Stardraw.com stand K16 throughout PLASA 2007.
Stardraw.com Welcomes Two New Team Members
We are pleased to welcome two new members to the Stardraw.com team. Firstly, Scott Messler
who has been appointed to the role of National Sales Manager for Stardraw.com in the US; and
secondly, Paul Clark who has been appointed as software Developer and Designer.
Prior to this, Clark had already been named as Stardraw's very first Certified
Programmer for Stardraw Control in the latter part of 2006.
CEO David Snipp confirmed that the appointment of Paul Clark was a logical step for the
company. "We had been looking for a while, but good programmers are hard to find, especially
good programmers with an industry background who understand our objectives and our market.
Paul was the ideal candidate – already a Certified Programmer with an excellent working and
technical knowledge of Stardraw Control, and a good understanding of how we work as a company.
I'm sure he'll be a great asset to the team."
Paul is in complete agreement. "Having worked with integrators and users of Stardraw
products as an independent Certified Programmer, the opportunity to join Stardraw as part
of the core development team was an exciting one. With an already strong foundation of
products in an industry that I have a great passion for and interest in, I am looking forward
to working with the Stardraw team using the latest software technology, and playing a part
in the innovation and creation of Stardraw's design and control solutions."
Messler, who is responsible for all Stardraw product sales in the US, is an experienced
professional with twenty years practice in the installed audio products industry. He will
handle all sales and front-line technical support for the Stardraw product range within the
US, Canada and Puerto Rico, including managing resellers and reps. "Stardraw is a truly
innovative and leading edge company, and their products offer real solutions for AV integrators
looking for high quality and easy to use drawing and documentation software," commented Messler.
"I'm pleased to be handling Stardraw throughout the US as a key part of the portfolio of brands
under my responsibility."

Stardraw Sponsors ISE Roadshow
Stardraw.com will be sponsoring the Integrated Systems Roadshow for the second year
running. The IS Roadshow will be held in five countries across Europe – Denmark, Poland,
Czech Republic, Austria and Croatia – from 17th to 26th October 2007.
"It was an excellent event last year," commented Stardraw.com's marketing director,
Rob Robinson, "and I'm looking forward to an even better one this time. Anything that
offers us new opportunities to get in front of customers is a good idea in my book, and
the advantage of the Roadshow format is that it exposes us to parts of the European market
that are often difficult to service directly. I'm delighted to see that this year, ISE has
extended the Roadshow into new territories, namely Denmark, Austria and Croatia."
The event is specifically aimed at the AV and electronic systems integration industry
and offers a day at each location where attendees can browse the show floor, as well as
attend presentations, educational sessions and networking events. Entry is free, but registration
is required.
