When you have installed Stardraw Control, you will use the Design Environment
to define your system connections and create the customized control interfaces (Panels)
that will be used to control the system.
The Design Environment has two modes - Topology View and Panel View.
Topology View
This view is used to show your system layout as a schematic that identifies control
interconnections including IP, IR, RS232 etc. Simply drag
products from the Product Library into your design, or use AutoDiscovery, to assemble
the components in your system, then click to set connections. Interconnection
information is used to route control and monitoring instructions intelligently.
- Use this view to define the devices in your system and show their interconnections
- Choose products from a comprehensive listing of tens of thousands of devices from hundreds of
different manufacturers
- Devices that support autodiscovery can be added to your design automatically
- Click between output and input ports to define interconnections
- Click on any device to view and set its properties
Panel View
The Panel View allows you to build fully flexible, custom control interfaces (Panels)
that control and/or monitor the devices in your system.
- Drag and drop to create custom control surfaces, or choose from pre-configured control
surface templates.
- Controls include buttons, switches, faders, knobs, dials, meters, alphanumeric displays,
images etc, all fully configurable.
- Assign any system or device event or command to any control
- Jump to other control surfaces
- Chain commands for unlimited macro functionality.
- Compile Panel designs to run as standalone control programs
