Utilities

Stardraw Design 7's Utilities are suites of functionality that enhance the application and any drawing Modules that have been selected.

DWG Import/Export

If you want to exchange drawings with architects, consultants and others that use AutoCAD, or want to use all or part of an AutoCAD file in your own drawings or symbols, the DWG Import/Export utility makes it as easy as opening or saving a file.

• Import DWG and DXF files. File versions R12 - 2010 supported. 2011 and 2012 file formats are identical to 2010 and are therefore also supported.
• Edit and manipulate the drawing within Stardraw Design 7 as if it was a native document.
• Full layer and layerstate compatibility.
• Use DWG/DXF files or the objects they contain as symbols for User Defined Products.
• Export any drawing to DWG or DXF R12 - 2010 formats.

Products Grid

A grid-based, spreadsheet-like view on the products in your project.

• Split Window interface allows you to Search for and Add products in the top window, and manage products and their Attributes in the bottom window.
• Fast, text-based searching for any text in products' Model Number and Description fields.
• Filter results by Online Libraries (all possible library results), Local Libraries or Specific Manufacturer.
• Add single or multiple product instances to your project.
• Set Attribute values.
• Export Excel (.XLS) spreadsheet containing all product and Attribute details.

Reporting

Templates for outputting Attribute information in report layouts.

• Includes numerous templates for different report types.
• 'Detail' reports show one line per product.
• 'Summary' reports show one line per Model Number, plus Quantity.
• 'Grouped' reports show products arranged by Attribute values, e.g. by Room, Zone, System etc, with Detail and Summary variants.
• Print reports directly from Stardraw Design 7, or save as Excel (XLS, XLSX), Acrobat (PDF), Word (DOC), Rich Text (RTF), web page (HTM), enhanced metafile (EMF), plain text (TXT) or image (BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF).
