The Product Browser only shows products that have a symbol for the current drawing type. If you are working in a Rack Layout drawing, for example, only products with a Rack Layout symbol (i.e. racks and natively rack-mounted products) will be listed in the Product Browser.

The drawing-type rules are:

• Rack Layout — racks and products that are rack-mountable only
• Block Schematic — only products with at least one signal input or output
• Pictorial Schematic — all products
• Plan View — freestanding, ceiling-, wall- or floor-mounted products only. Rackmount products do not appear.
• Panel Layout — panel hardware and panel-mounted connectors only

Before assuming a product is missing, check that you are in the drawing type that is likely to have a symbol for that product. You can confirm which drawing environments a product supports by searching for it on the Manufacturers page.

If the product genuinely has no symbol for the drawing environment you need, you have two options: create a User Defined Product based on it, or submit a symbol request to symbols@stardraw.com.
